After a night of heavy storms in the Gaza Strip, thousands of displaced people woke up with their tents flooded. Entire families used buckets to draw the accumulated water and erected improvised sand and mud barriers to try to protect their shelters from new rains.
The Qatar Reconstruction Commission for Gaza, on Saturday, launched urgent interventions in more than 15 camps to open rainwater drainage routes and to set up earth walls to protect the tents of displaced persons from the consequences of the airfall.
