The Community of Madrid implements in its public health network the first protocol of care for children and adolescents who are victims of sexual violence, in order to offer a “fast and coordinated” response to “protect and assist” these children in a “integral and effective” way.
The Fundación Mutua Madrileña and the Guardia Civil carried out a study consisting of two phases. On the one hand, they conducted interviews with groups of fathers and mothers, adolescents and young people, and on the other hand they carried out a survey with 1,000 fathers and mothers with children between the ages of 8 and 17 and 2,000 adolescents and young people between the ages of 16 and 22.
The Attorney General's Office of Justice of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) acknowledged its responsibility for shortcomings and bad practices in investigations and the prosecution of justice, and apologized to direct and indirect victims.
