ITV’s The Chase Star Reveals He Was Mugged in Train Station Ordeal
Wallace said two thieves used a distraction to steal his backpack, which contained his shoes, perfume and car keys.
- Last month, The Chase star Shaun Wallace, known as The Dark Destroyer, had his backpack stolen at London's Pancras International station after returning from filming an advertisement in Paris.
- Wallace fell victim to a distraction scam when a man insisted he had 'dropped a card at the back,' luring him away while an accomplice stole his bag from the taxi.
- The stolen backpack contained Gucci perfume, two car keys, and blue suede shoes, which Wallace jokingly compared to the Elvis Presley song, and he branded crime in London 'out of control.'
- Similar high-profile thefts have targeted the station, including a 2025 incident where Brittney, wife of Formula champion Jenson Button, lost over £250,000 in valuables, and an Abu Dhabi royal lost £600,000 in jewelry.
- Addressing the prevalence of such crimes, Wallace noted, 'It's sadly endemic in relation to, if you're not aware of what's happening around you, that's when they strike,' believing he was not specifically targeted.
