Federal Chancellor Scholz has called for tomorrow's Holocaust Memorial Day to strive for a culture of remembrance for the younger generation in particular. It must be depressing how many young people in Germany hardly know anything about the Holocaust, said Scholz in several newspaper interviews.

Bundeskanzler Scholz hat zum morgigen Holocaust-Gedenktag aufgerufen, sich besonders um eine Erinnerungskultur für die jüngere Generation zu bemühen. Es müsse bedrücken, wie viele junge Menschen in Deutschland kaum noch etwas über den Holocaust wüssten, sagte Scholz in mehreren Zeitungsinterviews.
