In France, the unions are fighting to "save" on May 1st, Workers' Day, a symbol of the rights won over time and that the Paris government intends to make work, at least partially: "We have the support of all the unions in the world," said Sophie Binet, secretary general of the CGT this morning. "We are told that if France abolished May 1st as a holiday, it would be a negative signal for all the workers in the world."
