A much smaller minimum wage increase than the previously planned 14 percent, perhaps even below 10 percent, could come in 2027, as economic performance and inflation may fall short of the levels assumed in the three-year wage agreement. Employers believe a more modest increase is justified, while unions believe even the original 14 percent is insufficient.

Citing weaker-than-expected economic growth, employers would renegotiate the wage agreement signed in 2024, and consider a single-digit minimum wage increase realistic instead of the 14 percent set therein.
