CBOT Wheat Prices Rise As Russia, Ukraine Conflict Threatens Exports

- Russia and Ukraine have escalated attacks on agricultural export facilities in the Black Sea area in recent weeks, driving wheat prices higher on global markets.
- "Wheat is again being supported by the attacks on ports and shipping by Ukraine and Russia," said Matt Ammermann, commodity risk manager at StoneX, noting export disruption fears.
- Russia's Transportation Ministry said Monday it is stepping up protection for ships in the Azov-Black Sea basin, forming a joint task force with the Defense Ministry to reroute freight.
