Temporary shut-down for corrective maintenance at PX Energy
Questerre Energy Corporation temporarily shut down its PX Energy oil shale processing facility in southern Brazil for emergency maintenance due to a critical pipe failure in the furnace supplying heat to the main facility.
Operations personnel promptly initiated the shutdown to prevent further equipment impact, resulting in no injuries and no damage to the main processing facility.
The shutdown is expected to last approximately three to four weeks.
The company estimates the corrective work will cost about C$1.5 million.
