Four arrested after boy, 16, stabbed to death in Peterborough
Detectives say the attack was not random as four suspects remain in custody and officers appeal for witnesses and CCTV footage.
- On Sunday, April 12, a 16-year-old boy died after being stabbed near the Ortongate Shopping Centre in Peterborough. Emergency services responded to Riseholme shortly before 7pm, but the teenager died later that evening.
- Cambridgeshire Police arrested four individuals in connection with the fatal incident, with all suspects held at Thorpe Wood Police Station. An 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy face suspicion of murder.
- Two additional suspects, a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, are in custody for assisting an offender. The younger girl also faces an allegation regarding possession of a bladed article.
- Detective Chief Inspector Richard Stott of the Beds, Cambs and Herts Major Crime Unit stated police do not believe this was a "random attack." He urged anyone with CCTV footage or information to contact authorities.
