Technology and Vision: Redefining Logistics at Dibermex
The company said the system will forecast demand with 94% accuracy and handle up to 1,200 orders per hour.
Grupo Dibermex launched a digital modernization initiative incorporating artificial intelligence systems and autonomous robots into its distribution centers, strengthening logistics operations across the Caribbean and Latin America.
Adato Steiermann, Dibermex executive, said the firm is investing in cutting-edge technology because "operational efficiency and precision in deliveries are key" to serving business partners better.
Automated "picking and packing" robots allow logistics centers to maintain productivity 24 hours a day, while the Dibermex artificial intelligence platform achieves 94 percent accuracy in demand forecasting.
The initiative's first phase begins at the new logistics center in Puerto Limón, Costa Rica, with expansion planned for facilities in Panama and the Dominican Republic.
Predictive analytics will enhance inventory management by responding to seasonal demand and market fluctuations, reinforcing Dibermex's long-term expansion objectives throughout the region in coming years.
