Tafoya, Demuth make campaign stops in Moorhead
The Republican candidates highlighted fraud cleanup, education reform and business-friendly policies as they made final appeals to voters ahead of Election Day.
Republican Senate candidate Michele Tafoya and Gov candidate Lisa Demuth campaigned in Moorhead on Thursday, making final pitches to voters five days before Election Day.
Candidates are intensifying efforts across Minnesota to connect with voters as the election window nears its end. Both Tafoya and Demuth met with local business leaders and supporters to address their concerns.
Demuth proposed scaling back taxes to allow Minnesotans to "keep more of their hard-earned money" and stimulate business growth. Tafoya advocated removing "duplicative, regulatory rules" to unleash business expansion.
Tafoya criticized the current administration, stating "the last eight years in Minnesota have a record of failure" under Tim Walz and Peggy Flanagan. Both candidates promised better days ahead if elected.
On Saturday, Oct 31, the Minnesota DFL will conduct its "Get Out the Vote" bus tour with stops in Moorhead, Fergus Falls, and Mahnomen. The competing campaigns intensify voter outreach on Election Day's eve.
