An old advertisement from a Gliwice newspaper became the seed for Szczepan Twardoch's new novel. The writer spoke to Radio RMF24 about "Waldkauza," the world of Silesian beliefs, and the book's inspirations. "In this novel, I draw on a somewhat forgotten imagination, which, however, a hundred years ago didn't necessarily have a fantastical character. It's a folk imagination that somehow reached beyond the veil of reality," the writer says.
