After the massive job-balancing strike, the Swarovski site in Wattens appears to be facing further upheavals: land could be sold, one of the two plants closed down. Works council is concerned about the company and sends an alarm call to the Swarovski family.

Battery company Morrow is laying off 50–60 people and putting the expansion of its battery factory in Arendal on hold.

According to its own statements, Swarovski currently employs 2900 people in Austria, the majority of whom work directly in Wattens.
