El Monte Man Charged with Murder in Pursuit Crash that Killed Alhambra Police Officer

  • Alhambra Police Chief Garrett Kennedy said Felipe Ramirez was hospitalized with major injuries, including at least one bone fracture, after the crash. A vigil for Officer Alec Sanders is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Nov. 25 at the Alhambra police station.
  • The defendant remains hospitalized and is not expected to appear in court until next week, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said.
