About 16,000 spectators and 1200 carnivalists took over the streets of the capital of l'asperge, Hoerdt, on Tuesday 17 February on the occasion of the traditional Herrefasenacht (carnival of lords). A colourful edition with nearly 80 musical bands and tanks all more original than each other.
The 74th edition of the Hoerdt Carnival closed this Tuesday with a colourful cavalcade and a rain of sweets and confetti. The sky, graciously, spared the 1,200 carnivalers and the 16,000 spectators who came to applaud them and be gently shook.
Despite a capricious weather, the carnivalists were at the rendezvous Monday 16 February in Sundhouse for the cavalcade of Rose Monday. And the festival continues the next day with the traditional parade of Hoerdt.
