Authorities are investigating what caused fires in northern Northampton and Monroe counties Monday that shut down part of Route 33 for a few hours.The fires affected about five acres and they are contained, but crews were back out Tuesday morning to fully suppress the blazes, the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources said.
