Strong but sporadic rain falls Thursday

The Lower Colorado River Authority reported just 0.27 inches of rain near Lometa but 1.87 inches at Bend Thursday through Friday. The rainstorm broke a roughly 40-day streak of no precipitation, while parts of the county saw no measurable accumulation.
