The need to conserve species that move and travel long distances, as well as their habitats, is today the main objective of World Migratory Bird Day, which is celebrated every second Saturday in May.

Celebration twice a year: in May and October. Therefore we are facing a celebration, the World Day of Migratory Birds that is celebrated twice a year, one on the second Saturday of May, and another on the second Saturday of October, coinciding with the two great migrations.
