Upstate man sentenced for sexually abusing 6-year-old

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) - A Spartanburg man has been sentenced to 20 years for sexually abusing a child. According to the South Carolina Attorney General's Office, Agustin Vargas, 51, of Spartanburg, pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct with a minor second degree. He admitted to sexually abusing a six-year-old. Vargas was sentenced to 20 years in person and will be placed on the sex offender registry.
