Stellantis Will Not Issue Profit-Sharing Checks to UAW Members for 2025 Calendar Year
Stellantis posted a $26.3 billion loss in 2025 and will not pay profit-sharing to UAW workers, unlike Ford and GM, which will issue reduced payouts for the year.
- On Feb. 26, 2026, Stellantis reported its first-ever annual loss and said it will not pay profit-sharing for 2025, citing North America results that failed to meet minimum thresholds in the UAW agreement.
- Company filings show the loss arose from EV-related write-downs and restructuring actions, citing about 22.3 billion euros, as CEO Antonio Filosa said, `Our 2025 full year results reflect the cost of over-estimating the pace of the energy transition and of the need to reset our business around our customers' freedom to choose from the full range of electric, hybrid and internal combustion technologies`.
- Under the UAW profit-sharing formula , Stellantis' North America profit margin was negative 3.1% in 2025, causing payouts to drop from $13,860 in 2023 to $3,780 last year.
- Now, Stellantis UAW-represented employees will get $0 for 2025 performance, while Ford Motor Co. and General Motors Co. plan payouts of $6,780 and $10,500 respectively, making Stellantis the only Detroit Three automaker not issuing checks this year.
- To shore up finances, Stellantis suspended its 2026 dividend and authorized up to approximately $5.9 billion in hybrid bonds, expecting progressive improvement through 2026 with HEMI V-8 reintroduction and new vehicle launches.
