St. Albert driver who hit electric box, causing fire, uninjured

St. Albert RCMP say that nobody was injured as a result of a vehicle fire in the Erin Ridge community in St. Albert yesterday evening. The driver of a green, 2009, 4 door Mazda accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes when initiating a turn and collided with an electrical power box, causing both the vehicle and power box to catch fire. No charges have been laid, and there will be no further RCMP investigation.
