Spider-Man Producer Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige both admitted that neither she nor he knew who Zendaya was when they gave her the role of MJ in the Spider-Man film franchise.
Zendaya (27) was already a big star before starring in her first major movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, in 2017. But the movie's creators and even the Marvel director had no idea who she was at the time, when the actress auditioned for the role of MJ. That's what Amy Pascal, one of the producers, confesses in conversation with 'Vogue'.
