- On Wednesday, Spanish Broadcasting System announced the promotion of Richard D. Lara to Chief Operating Officer. Lara will continue serving as General Counsel while overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Since joining the Company in 2016, Lara has led legal, regulatory, and governance functions while advancing strategic initiatives. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Raul A. Alarcon Jr. called him a "steady and trusted leader during an important period for the Company."
- SBS operates AIRE Radio Networks, a platform with over 250 affiliated stations reaching 94% of the Hispanic audience. The Company also manages MegaTV, live concert events, and digital properties including LaMusica and HitzMaker.
- In this expanded role, Lara will focus on enterprise-wide alignment and platform strengthening. He said, "We are focused on alignment across the organization and strengthening our platforms to position the Company for long-term success."
