Spain Stands with Ceuta as Hundreds of Thousands Rally Against Pedro Sánchez

Protesters demanded tougher border controls and the return of 80,000 migrants as police arrested four people and injured four officers in clashes.

Hundreds of thousands rallied across Spain on Ceuta Day demanding stronger border controls, expulsion of illegal migrants and Pedro Sánchez’s resignation, while solidarity protests also reached the European Parliament in Brussels. The demonstrations came as a police intelligence report described July’s mass invasion from Morocco as ‘planned’, deepening pressure on the government.
