A dangerous heat wave spreads over much of Mexico due to an anti-cyclonic circulation at medium levels of the atmosphere. The phenomenon, which initially struck the west and south, escalates this day, causing extreme temperatures that affect from the northwest to the Yucatan Peninsula.
