Small plane crashes near Greenville Downtown Airport

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) - A small plane crashed Thursday afternoon shortly after takeoff from Greenville Downtown Airport. The plane crashed in a field just north of the runway along Woods Lake Road. Officials with the airport confirmed the pilot was taken to the hospital. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
