2 Killed in Small Plane Crash in Ludlow
Crews found the downed aircraft in a wooded area and pronounced two people dead as federal and state investigators examine the crash.

- Ludlow Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Lavoie said crews received a call around 9 p.m. about a possible plane down near the Springfield Reservoir. "We don't have a location right now, but we have plenty of resources here," he said.
- Massachusetts State Police and Ludlow Police utilized drone units to search the area, with Lavoie noting, "It's probably going to be a late night operation." Multiple assets assisted in locating the downed aircraft.
- The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash, while the Hampden District Attorney's Office is also examining the circumstances of the fatal incident.
