Slovenian hockey players won second place at the tournament in Sosnowiec, Poland won.
After two opening losses, the Slovenian national hockey team concluded the February national tournament with a 3:0 victory over Italy. A quick goal by Miha Beričič in the first minute and two goals in the second half of the final period sealed the victory for the Lynx over Sosnowiec.
Slovenian hockey players at the tournament in Poland, where coach Edo Terglav is testing mainly young players, have one last match to play. At 18:15, they will cross sticks with the hosts of the future Olympic Games, the Italians. The Lynx are still without a win, but their western neighbors defeated the Hungarians. They will face the undefeated Poles in the afternoon match.
