The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has announced the list of the best referees of the past year, an award it has been giving since 1987. It chose 35-year-old Francois Letexier (126 points), who also officiated at the Euro final, as the best football referee. In second place was 45-year-old Slovenian Slavko Vinčić (86).

Mednarodni institut za nogometno zgodovino in statistiko (IFFHS) je objavil lestvico najboljših sodnikov minulega leta, nagrado podeljuje od leta 1987. Za najboljšega nogometnega sodnika je izbral 35-letnega Francoisa Letexierja (126 točk), ki je delil pravico tudi na finalu eura. Na drugem mestu je pristal 45-letni Slovenec Slavko Vinčić (86).
