Public transport vehicle manufacturer Škoda Group will supply Latvia with up to 16 battery electric trains for regional transport for almost four billion crowns. The value of the entire order includes a basic order of nine BEMU trains, an option for seven more, spare parts and training. The first trains are scheduled to be deployed in the first half of 2029, Škoda Group spokesman Jan Švehla said on Thursday.
