Child dies in freak accident
An eight-year-old child is believed to be the country’s latest road fatality victim. Police said the victim is alleged to have suddenly crossed the Dreketi Highway near the Basikalave Settlement yesterday afternoon when he was bumped by a vehicle driven by a man in his 50s. They said the driver will be questioned soon as investigators await the post-mortem examination to be conducted. Investigations continue.
