- Maritime security firm Vanguard Tech identified the Egyptian-owned Greta Star, which encountered "heavy firearms" before increasing speed to prevent boarding, while a tanker 111 nautical miles southeast of Aden was targeted by four armed men firing an RPG.
- The Maritime Security Center Indian Ocean, established by EUNAVFOR Atalanta, reported an increase in incidents since April and wrote that vessels should be "strongly advised to maintain heightened vigilance" in the region.
