Sherman-Denison sees half-percent spike in unemployment

As new development continues to grow in Texoma, the region recently saw a spike in its unemployment rate. In July, the Texas Workforce Commission released its latest workforce numbers, which showed a 0.6 percent increase in the unemployment rate for the Sherman-Denison area in June.The latest workforce numbers saw the unemployment rate for the region rise from 4.1 percent in May to 4.7 percent one month later.
