Sheriff's office announces traffic safety checkpoints

LONDON — Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints in Laurel County.

Wyoming County Sheriff's Department and Pineville Police Department to conduct safety checkpoint on August 21

Pineville, WV (WOAY) The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department and Pineville Police Department are partnering to conduct a safety checkpoint in the area on Friday, August 21. The checkpoint will take place along WV Route 10 at the Pineville Library from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The purpose of the checkpoint is to encourage traffic safety and seat belt usage to reduce vehicle accidents.
