Westby Middle and High schools put on lockdown

At 12:05 p.m., Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson put the Westby middle school and high school campus on "SECURE" alert, according to a Westby schools Facebook post.

UPDATE: At 1:08 p.m. the Vernon County Sheriff's Office declared the situation to be under control. There is no danger to the community. Stay with 19 News for further updates and information.
