A very strong storm hit a large part of the Croatian peninsula of Istria on the night of Thursday, August 21. Meteorologists said that more precipitation fell than the monthly average. The extreme weather caused flooding of several roads and houses, as well as property damage. A storm warning is in effect for the Adriatic until the weekend.
