Serbian tennis player Stefan Milicevic gets 24-year ban for match fixing
The ITIA said Milicevic fixed six matches, tried to fix six more, and recruited other players into a corrupt network.
- On Thursday, the International Tennis Integrity Agency issued a 24-year suspension to Serbian player Stefan Milicevic for match-fixing, one of the most severe punishments outside a lifetime ban.
- The 29-year-old was charged with fixing six matches, including five he played, and attempting to fix six additional matches between 2022 and 2024 while recruiting professional players "as part of a corrupt network."
- Alongside the suspension, the ITIA fined Milicevic £53,000 after he "did not engage" in the investigation despite seven separate attempts to contact him, extending his ban until October 2050.
- Milicevic primarily competed in lower-tier events and never reached a singles ranking higher than 1,338, while the agency has not disclosed specific matches fixed or identified other involved players.
- In December, French player Quentin Folliot was banned for 20 years after the ITIA discovered he was a central figure in a match-fixing syndicate operating during the same period.
