Sellers leads No. 23 South Carolina to 4th straight victory with 17-9 win over Texas A&M
LaNorris Sellers passed for 251 yards and a touchdown and added a 41-yard go-ahead run after returning from an ankle injury.
South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers suffered an apparent ankle injury during Saturday's second quarter against Texas A&M but returned to lead the Gamecocks to a 17-9 victory.
Texas A&M stripped-sacked Sellers with 5:24 left in the second quarter, forcing him to leave the field limping and assisted by trainers to the locker room for evaluation.
"We're concerned," head coach Shane Beamer told ESPN at halftime, as medical staff performed an X-ray on Sellers' ankle to determine his availability for the second half.
After kicker Malik Orsan's 43-yard field goal put South Carolina ahead, Sellers sealed the victory with a 41-yard touchdown run with 1:19 remaining despite his injury.
The 6-3 Gamecocks travel to face the Arkansas Razorbacks next Saturday as they continue their push through the final weeks of the SEC season.
