Neve Campbell Says She Plans to Return for SCREAM 8
- Neve Campbell confirmed she will return as Sidney Prescott in Scream 8 during an interview with the Associated Press, stating, "You know I can never tell you anything about Scream 8; I'll be in it."
- Campbell's return follows the success of Scream 7 earlier this year, which grossed $208 million worldwide, after she previously withdrew from the 2023 sequel Scream VI due to a pay dispute with distributor Paramount.
- Poker Face showrunners Lilla and Nora Zuckerman will write the script for Scream 8, which will feature a new director as Kevin Williamson, who directed Scream 7, steps back to a producer role.
- Outside of the horror franchise, Campbell stars in the second season of Netflix's Black Doves, which returns this month; the actress told the Associated Press that Scream 8 is in the pipeline.
- As Sidney Prescott, Campbell became a horror icon starring in Wes Craven's original film 30 years ago, and Scream 8 remains in development following the 2022 revival and Scream 7's return of Courteney Cox.
