Luxembourgers account for about 6% of the total of 225,400 borderers to Luxembourg. Of the 15 000 border Luxembourgers, 10 000 have chosen Rhineland-Palatinate. Who are Luxembourgers who decide to live outside the borders of the country? This is the question that the scientific unit of Luxembourg has tried to answer.
A research paper by the Scientific Unit of the Chamber provides an update on persons of Luxembourg nationality who have settled in the Greater Region in recent years outside the borders of Luxembourg, a phenomenon which is becoming increasingly widespread.
More and more Luxembourgers are moving to the other side of the border. In Rhineland-Palatinate alone, 10,000 people with Luxembourgish nationality live.
