Sauté pans sold at Costco recalled after metal caps on handle heat and "forcefully eject"
At least 98 reports prompted the recall, and one consumer reported bruising and burn injuries, the company said.
- E Mishan & Sons announced the recall of about 740,000 Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue Saute Pans on April 2 due to burn hazards; the pans were sold at Costco, Walmart, and Amazon.
- The recall stems from at least 98 reports of the metal cap on the screw connecting the pan handle detaching and forcefully ejecting when heated, "posing impact and burn hazards to Consumers."
- Sold in a Piece Set, the pans included one 10 inches and one 11.5 inches unit that Consumers purchased for about $40 from August 2021 through February 2026.
- "Consumers should stop using the recalled sauté pans immediately and contact E Mishan for a full refund," the company said; Mishan will require consumers to return the recalled pans.
- One consumer reported sustaining bruising and burn injuries, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, which published the recall notice on its website following the reports.
