Croatia accepts that defense spending be increased to five percent of GDP because it is something that is necessary and in its interest given the geopolitical circumstances, said the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandroković, in Brussels on Friday.
The Speaker of the Seimas, Saulius Skvernelis, says that the alliance countries must commit to spending 5 percent of their gross domestic product on defense. He spoke on Friday at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly summit in Brussels. “I want to emphasize the importance of the declaration of the upcoming NATO summit. This will be our unified message to Russia and other autocracies. We must invest in NATO unity, commit to the 5 percent.
