- The pipeline reroutes around 4 million barrels per day—4 per cent of global supply—to Yanbu since the US-Israeli war on Iran disrupted traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
- Brent crude futures fell more than $2 a barrel to their lowest since September 8, while Saudi Aramco moved tankers to Egypt's Port Said and Sidi Kerir for ship-to-ship transfers.
- Iran claimed it could reopen the Strait of Hormuz in seven days if reaching a diplomatic deal with the US, while Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent threatened to "shut down" Iranian airlines and sanction countries receiving them.
- Aramco seeks to return to full pumping capacity in about six weeks, while President Donald Trump said he remains in a "deciding mode" and "very big things" about the war will take place soon.
