‘Samajwadi Yadav Parivar’: Asaduddin Owaisi mocks Akhilesh over SP’s family politics
- On Sunday, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi addressed a rally in Kairana, Uttar Pradesh, criticizing Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav. Owaisi suggested renaming the party 'Samajwadi Yadav Parivar', alleging family members replaced Muslim representatives.
- Owaisi highlighted that Muslims previously held seats in Azamgarh and Firozabad before Yadav's family members took office. He argues young Muslims lack opportunities to lead despite possessing talent to represent the community.
- Citing the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots, Owaisi alleged that around 50,000 people were displaced while the Samajwadi Party was in power. He claimed violence left families homeless and children orphaned on ancestral land.
- Earlier on Sunday in Rampur, Owaisi stated that AIMIM is creating a platform for young Muslims to emerge as leaders. The party aims to secure justice for oppressed communities rather than supporting traditional political dynasties.
- Ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Owaisi declared that AIMIM will not support Yadav, Nehru, or Gandhi. The party positions itself as an alternative for voters seeking new representation and leadership opportunities.
