[Nishihara] On the 18th, Okinawa Shokuryo conducted an outreach lecture on rice production and distribution for approximately 100 fifth-grade students at Ryukyu University Elementary School (Principal: Hirohisa Ishikawa) in Chihara, Nishihara Town. Staff from Fukushima Prefecture and JA Zen-Noh Fukushima explained rice farming in Fukushima Prefecture and the differences in climate and specialty products between Fukushima and Okinawa.
