- Ryan Seacrest recalled his sister calling that their father was in the ICU with pneumonia during a live American Idol show, and he immediately flew home after finishing the broadcast.
- Seacrest added that his family has peace knowing his father is free of pain and leaves behind wife Constance Marie Zullinger and children Ryan Seacrest and Meredith Seacrest Leach.
