On Tuesday, the Boston Red Sox defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-4 at Fenway Park, with catcher Adley Rutschman hitting his first home run as a member of the Red Sox.

Rutschman went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, including a 401-foot solo home run off a 0-and-2 fastball. Starting pitcher Ranger Suarez earned the win, pitching 5 1/3 innings while allowing four runs.
The Red Sox improved to 19-6 at home since June 25, strengthening their playoff position. Boston maintains a six-game hold on a wild card berth with 36 games remaining.
In Wednesday's series finale, Arizona Diamondbacks RHP Brandon Pfaadt faces Red Sox LHP Payton Tolle at Fenway Park.
