Russia began three days of parliamentary elections on Friday, the first since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine. Although the vote to fill the 450 seats in the State Duma is officially a multi-party election, the political outcome of the elections is largely predetermined: United Russia, loyal to Vladimir Putin, will retain its majority in the State Duma.
