Russia steps up attacks on Ukraine's digital infrastructure, Kyiv says
Officials said Russia struck 10 Kyiv data centres last month as AI-aided cyberattacks on state systems and businesses increased.
On Friday, Russia accelerated attacks on Ukraine's digital infrastructure with the same intensity as its ongoing assault on the energy grid, Kyiv's prime minister said.
Kyiv Prime Minister Sergiy Koretskyi reported Russia struck 10 data centers in the capital last month, while AI-aided cyberattacks against state information systems and businesses are rising.
To improve readiness, Koretskyi demanded every state agency quickly form cybersecurity teams, noting "Key digital agencies are already able to repel attacks using AI."
Air-Defense shortages hamper Kyiv's ability to repel ballistic missiles and jet-powered drones. Restrictions on US-based Starshield satellite internet have further degraded defensive and battlefield capabilities.
Moscow's forces are targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure ahead of winter, following a summer campaign of expanded Russian strikes on logistics, businesses and data centers.
