RuneScape Reignited Launches 2 December with a Complete Economy Reset
Jagex says the mode will start with a brand-new economy and no paid progression as it tries to bring back lapsed players and grow the community.
- Developer Jagex announced RuneScape Reignited, a permanent character type launching on 2nd December that offers new and returning players a fresh progression track.
- Jagex described the mode as "RuneScape As It Was Always Meant To Be," featuring a distinct economy and hiscores where paid progression remains unavailable.
- Reignited characters will have free access to members' content for the first 10 days following launch, allowing players to explore Gielinor alongside existing Veteran accounts within shared worlds.
- At RuneFest in Birmingham, Jagex also revealed a fourth RuneScape MMO built in Unreal Engine and confirmed a new animated adaptation with YouTuber White.
- The Hall of Legends will reward players claiming world-first achievements with permanent statues, marking a fresh start for players to "experience 25 years of RuneScape" from a new shared point.
